CardPouch Terms of Use
Revised: October 15, 2026 Effective: upon publication and completion of applicable notice requirements Provider: CoderChan — coderchan.support@icloud.com
1. Purpose and limits
CardPouch organizes personal documents, bank cards, loyalty cards, coupons and photos. Features include on-device recognition, member assignment, search, codes, watermarks, local reminders, optional Wallet pass generation, local migration and optional encrypted iCloud sync. Availability depends on the installed version and applicable Pro entitlement.
The app does not issue official identity credentials, connect to bank accounts, process payments or transfers, emulate NFC access cards or represent a bank, merchant or government. Acceptance of any displayed document or code is determined by its issuer or recipient. Statement countdowns and estimated repayment dates are calculated from your entries; actual dates and amounts must be checked against bank statements. Notifications depend on system permission/settings and device conditions. Maintain an alternative for important deadlines.
2. Use and license
Use a supported Apple device and system with a device passcode. Relevant permissions are described in the Privacy Policy. Software licensing follows the applicable Apple Standard EULA; these terms explain the app’s services and do not replace it with a custom EULA. TestFlight use also follows its platform terms.
The app’s code, interface and developer-created assets belong to their respective rights holders. Do not copy, sell or impersonate them without permission, except as allowed by law. Your records remain yours or their original owner’s; using the app does not grant us rights to advertise with, publish or train models on those records.
3. Your records and choices
Only store or share information you may lawfully handle. Obtain necessary authority for other people’s information. Do not forge documents, impersonate people, commit fraud or violate privacy. Recognition can be wrong: check names, numbers and dates against originals. The app does not authenticate documents, accounts or coupon validity.
Protect your device, passcode and enrolled biometrics. Anyone who can pass system authentication may access protected data. When you enable widget or Lock Screen display, eligible card names and codes may be seen and scanned without unlocking. Private cards are not eligible for that display.
4. Storage, migration and sync
Records are primarily local. Optional iCloud sync uses your Apple Account, private CloudKit database and a separate key provided through iCloud Keychain. We do not hold a key to remotely unlock your wallet. Account, network, storage, system scheduling or conflicts may delay sync.
Sync propagates edits and deletions, and is not historical backup. Disabling sync or uninstalling does not automatically erase cloud copies. Editable background libraries/layers do not sync. Keep originals or another securely controlled copy and verify readable records/photos on the destination before clearing an old device. Whole-device backups do not guarantee complete wallet recovery.
Local migration requires pairing and permissions. The destination must have no saved or recently deleted cards. It does not erase the source. Widget and Lock Screen permission must be enabled again. Network interruption can leave a transfer incomplete.
Deleted cards normally remain in Recently Deleted for 30 days, with cleanup occurring when the app runs. Permanent deletion is also available. Deleting an individual original photo takes effect on save and has no separate photo recycle bin. Synced deletions propagate; source-library photos, exports, migration copies and Wallet passes are managed separately.
5. Export, watermarks and Wallet
Confirm recipients and contents before copying or sharing. Readable exported files are outside the app’s lock. Watermarks indicate intended use; they do not prevent copying, cropping or redistribution and do not certify authenticity.
Wallet generation requires network access, device authentication and an available signing service. Signing establishes source/integrity, not the truth or acceptance of a membership, document or coupon. Submit only authorized names, logos, codes and fields. Apple controls final pass layout and asks you to confirm adding it. Local expiry/redemption status does not automatically invalidate a Wallet copy.
Local edits, deletion, migration or uninstalling do not automatically update or remove Wallet passes. Regenerate and confirm updates, or remove the associated pass in Wallet/the app. Reinstallation or device changes can affect signing ownership and prevent updating an older pass; contact support if needed.
The service has device/key/source/global rate and concurrency limits. The ordinary device allowance is currently 50 requests per rolling 24-hour quota window, not a midnight reset. Repeated generation and some failed signing attempts can consume quota; other limits can apply earlier. Retained UUIDs may share quota with new authentication keys. Controlled test exceptions do not bypass security or global protection. Service responses indicate retry timing, and material changes will be communicated appropriately.
Third-party services follow their own rules. This does not remove our legal responsibility for our own conduct. Wallet signing is not a wallet-data backup service.
6. Pro and payments
Free users can add up to five counted cards; archived cards count, demo/recently deleted cards do not. Pro includes unlimited cards, Home Screen widgets and related extension entries, and Wallet generation. Monthly/annual auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase may be offered, with prices and eligibility shown in Apple’s confirmation sheet.
Expiration does not delete existing cards or original photos; existing records remain viewable/editable in the app. New additions above the free limit and Pro-gated operations require an active entitlement. iCloud sync is free but does not bypass that limit; excess incoming new cards wait for import rather than being deleted from the cloud.
These are feature purchases, not stored-value credit. Installing, upgrading or receiving a local legacy-user grant does not start a paid subscription. Read the Pro Purchase and Subscription Terms and Auto-Renewal Notice.
7. Test versions
TestFlight builds may contain defects and have expiry dates. Prefer fictional/redacted test records and keep originals. Check platform expiry information and transfer important data while the build remains usable. Test participation does not promise a release date, permanent access or free future service. Redact sensitive screenshots and do not submit passcodes or full card details in feedback. These notices do not exclude our legal obligations.
8. Rights, changes and disputes
We reasonably maintain the app and address known issues, but cannot guarantee flawless recognition or recovery in every device/network scenario. If a problem occurs, avoid actions that could worsen data loss and contact us with minimal necessary device/version and reproduction details.
Liability is determined by applicable law, fault and causation. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable responsibility for intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Minors require guardian guidance and consent where legally required.
Material changes affecting access to records or purchased rights will receive appropriate notice and, where necessary, consent. Publication alone does not replace required procedures. Software licensing remains subject to the applicable EULA. Disputes may be discussed with us or brought before a competent authority under applicable law; complaint and legal remedies remain available. Invalid provisions do not invalidate independently enforceable provisions.
